Before I begin, I am sure many of you might be gasping at the thought of anyone talking about what goes on in the temple. Surely no good saint would discuss such things outside of the temple. However, the things that I am about to mention NO LONGER go on inside of the temple and that makes them fair game.

If you are a saint who has been endowed in the temple after 1990 there are a few things that are different or rather I should say missing. I will update as many of the changes and their dates as soon as I can but if you cannot wait then email me and I will send you to helping hands. There are a couple of sites online that show what was removed in the 1990 version with lines drawn through the deleted portions. You may want to do some searches.

* 2005 Initiatory annointing shortened. ( can't seem to leave things alone can they?)

* 1990 removal of the penalties woman's covenant of obedience

* 1984 removal of the Preacher removal of the Five Points of Fellowship at the Veil

* 1978 True Order of Prayer no longer allowed in homes Long Garment no longer required to enter temple

* 1970 Long garment required to enter temple, but shorter knee length garment ok for outside use

* 1930 Garment altered, removal of string ties, reversing of marks on garment, Yoke of Christ removed, no longer one piece Wives no longer given "by the hand of the Priesthood"

* 1915 Oath of Vengeance removed Lecture at the Veil removed

It seems to me that it would be reasonable to conclude that in these last days/fullness of times, the Gospel is becoming more liberal instead of becoming more reserved and restricting. It seems strange to me that the church is more concerned with men not having beards in the temple and wanting men to wear suits or atleast white shirts with collars and ties than it is when it comes to such topics as abortion or divorce.

For now I will not argue whether or not temple ordinances or garments are allowed to be changed. I will ask you to consider though who is really behind them. Look at the facts , size up the bottom line and then ask yourself this one question. Who or what group of people benefits most from each of the changes? Every change must happen for a reason, there must be a purpose. Especially with such sacred things as these.
