Under a ruined watchtower
You stand at the base of a tall watchtower built to protect the city
from invaders. From the looks of things, it did not do a good job.

[Exits: north west up]
Lady Kerowa Ramos is here.
Maeyja Siavess is here.
Akriados is here.

Lord Gerath rides into the room, and dismounts, and begins to look about.

Lady Kerowa Ramos is sitting on a big chunk of rock waiting for people to come.

Maeyja Siavess starts rummaging through her boot.

Lady Kerowa Ramos giggles at the horse and makes a flower wreath for the horse.

Maeyja Siavess takes her boots off and shakes it.

Lord Gerath then pats the steed on his neck, and walks over towards the group of people.

Lady Kerowa Ramos pulls a jewel out of her satchel.

Maeyja Siavess mutters something.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Chaldan's greetings onto all those who so merrily have presented themselves for this goodly cause."

Lady Kerowa Ramos beams broadly at Lord Gerath.

Lord Gerath bows with a flourish, then rises once again to his full height.

Maeyja Siavess raises an eyebrow at Lord Gerath.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Indeed, tis merrily a day upon which the God's themselves would give forward to thine boon, and blessed onto all that which came before and after I am quite assuredly certain."

Lady Kerowa Ramos is confused by what Lord Gerath just said.

Maeyja Siavess stifles a laugh.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Tell me though if thine patience wouldst be to hold onto a candles brilliance. What is that which you hath summoned us forth to aid thine self in?"

Akriados looks at Gerath oddly.

Lady Kerowa Ramos gives the jewel to Gerath

Lord Gerath smile brightly, his hand resting upon pommel, as his left comes forward to receive the jewel.

Lord Gerath quirks his brow slightly, then looks towards the jewel in his hand.

Lady Kerowa Ramos shrugs in response to Gerath's question.

Lord Gerath once again turns his attention the jewel, holding it towards the light in examination.

Lord Gerath frowns slightly before offering the jewel to Kerowa once again.

Maeyja Siavess peers at the jewel

Lady Kerowa Ramos moves to hand the jewel to Maeyja but instead the jewel floats out of her hand towards Maeyja.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "I dare say there is flaw upon the perfection of your jewel, indeed something has been cut upon it's surface which indeed perplexes mine own powers of observation."

Maeyja Siavess catches the jewel and turns it over in her hand.

Maeyja Siavess smirks.

Maeyja Siavess turns the jewel over and notices some markings.

Akriados snatches the jewel from Mae's hand.

Maeyja Siavess taps her foot.

Akriados examines the jewel.

Lord Gerath runs his hand through his peppered hair, and glances slowly about the ruins, "Methinks that such markings could be akin to this odd place to which you have summoned us forth."

Lady Kerowa Ramos nods at Lord Gerath in agreement.

(Lord Gerath): You notice shift his weight slightly, his hand tightening upon the pommel of his sword.

Maeyja Siavess sniffs the stale air.

Lady Kerowa Ramos shivers slightly and draws her cloak more tightly around her.

Akriados hands the jewel back to Kerowa

Maeyja Siavess looks at the jewel.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Hath any here found other trinkets from this all too oddly assorted set of buildings?"

Lady Kerowa Ramos says 'None. Unfortunately. '

Maeyja Siavess takes a moment to understand Gerath's speech.

Lord Gerath glances about slowly, his eyes passing over the stones of this watchtower.

Lord Gerath frowns disapprovingly.

Lord Gerath glances about the remnants of the watchtower, then moves slowly over towards an archway.

Lady Kerowa Ramos follows Gerath's line of sight.

Maeyja Siavess follows being Gerath.

Maeyja Siavess peers at the archway.

Lord Gerath removes his right gauntlet, and runs his hand over the stones, then says over his shoulder, "Tis almost that of antiquity found amongst the eldest of Arendish cities to be found, indeed it would lend to offer for the idea of something long past."

Lady Kerowa Ramos walks over to the archway to peer at the images.

Lady Kerowa Ramos does not understand a word Gerath just said.

Maeyja Siavess folds her arms over her chest.

Maeyja Siavess waves her hand at the scrawlings on the archway.

Lord Gerath frowns slightly, his head tilting downward in thought. Then quite suddenly he turns back on heel to face the others, "Doth it bring to one's mind that of the past in which it was found a race removed... I say onto those..."

Lord Gerath frowns quite heavily then shakes his head.

Akriados looks at Gerath, obviously confused.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "I can not bring to bear upon mine mind the name of those unfortunate people though, they were left long ago to the world of mortal men."

Lady Kerowa Ramos says 'What is happening in these images?' Moves closer to Gerath to see.

Lord Gerath steps aside, his cheeks flushing a bit as he looks about.

Lord Gerath clears his throat and nods.

Maeyja Siavess peers at you intently.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Aye, indeed I see etching alike what though hast mentioned unto us all, though I know not what it means."

Akriados says 'I wish I had that problem'

Akriados says 'I don't think that often. Prolly not a good thing.'

Lord Gerath quirks his brow then looks at Akriados carefully, "Take heart, tis not expected of thine position goodly Thull, indeed I am ever impressed by thine acute skills in many other regards which far doth compensate towards the embetterment of thine self."

Akriados says 'Does anyone happen to have a flask I might drink from? I promise not to poison it.'

Lord Gerath nods quickly and moves to fetch a flask from his steed.

Lord Gerath gathers a flask from his saddlebag, then turns and hands it to Akriados.

Akriados says 'in that damned mimbrate language'

Lord Gerath gives a tarnished flask to Akriados.

Akriados says 'Wow... an empty flask, i thank you!'

Lord Gerath then moves back towards the archway, though on the other side of the arch from Kerowa, now examining the other stones.

Akriados chuckles politely.

Akriados gives you a tarnished flask.

Lord Gerath squats down a bit, "Maeyja, perchance might thine eyes see something here that mine doth not?"

Maeyja Siavess moves to the other side of the archway and peers at the stones.

Akriados walks over to the archway and rubs his hands along the symbols.

Maeyja Siavess digs out some mud caked into an oddly shaped hole.

Lord Gerath scowls quizically at the stones, though seems somewhat confused.

Akriados says 'Can I please see the jewel, I think I've seen something.'

Maeyja Siavess shakes the mud off her gloves.

Akriados patiently taps his foot lightly.

Lord Gerath glances upward at Maeyja, then over towards Akriados "Oh, What hath thy found?"

Akriados says 'Come look at this group, it's the same as the jewel'

Lord Gerath watches as Kerowa passes the jewel towards Akriados, then returns to her study of the symbol.

Akriados says 'The symbols are identical, I swear it.'

Akriados holds the jewel next to the archway...

Lord Gerath the stands, careful to not knock into Maeyja, then walks over towards Akriados.

Akriados says 'YES! They are!'

Akriados moves aside for Gerath and hands him the jewel.

Lord Gerath grins a bit, his eyes twinkling with excitement as he takes the jewel.

Lord Gerath studies the similarities with his breath held, then turns and beckons the others over, "Maeyja, Kerowa... Look what the good Akriados hath found here!"

Lord Gerath hurridly steps back and offers forth the jewel to whoever steps forward next.

Akriados says 'See, not all thulls are slow!'

Maeyja Siavess takes the jewel from Gerath and grins.

Lord Gerath claps Akriados hard on the back in glee, "Indeed, tis a credit to thine self!"

Maeyja Siavess sets the jewel in the carved hole and waits.

Akriados holds his breath in anticipation.

Maeyja Siavess notices the jewel shimmer slightly.

Lord Gerath jumps forward, unsheathing his blade, and standing protectively before everyone as a shimmering silver gateway opens where the archway had stood.

Maeyja Siavess's eyes widen.

Lord Gerath says 'Hark, Folly, what evil of Torak is this!'

Akriados enters the portal.

Akriados pokes his head back out the portal...

Lord Gerath blinks in surprise seeming just Akriados' head appear.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Akraidos, you hath lost your Body!"

Akriados walks back out of the portal.

Lord Gerath carefully places a hand on Akriados, "I was not aware of thine magical abilities Akriados, how ever did you do that?"

Akriados walks back into the portal.

Akriados walks back out of the portal again.

Akriados says 'I just walk in and out.'

Lord Gerath frowns heavily.

Akriados says 'You coming?'

Akriados says 'It leads to some sort of underground path'

Maeyja Siavess boggles at the concept.

Akriados says 'I umm... walked into the portal...'

Akriados says 'Tada!'

Akriados says 'See, it's painless!'

Akriados says 'So, is anyone else coming?'

Lord Gerath arches his brow, nods, then setting his blade and shield charges into the portal, seemingly thinking battle is eminent.

Akriados sighs

Akriados enters the portal.

Akriados looks at Gerath.

Akriados says 'you mimbrates need to learn that not everything requires you to charge headlong into it.'

Lord Gerath furrows his brow and turns to look at you, his eyes filled with scorn.

Akriados says 'Don't get violent towards me, I told yah it was safe!'

Maeyja Siavess is taken aback.

Maeyja Siavess says 'What's wrong Gerath? '

Akriados says 'now if only the other two would enter'

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Careful what thou sayest Thull, for in courage to defend these Ladies such is needed of a honored charge towards thine safety, you afterall could have been mistaken."

Akriados says 'You act as if I haven't freed hundreds of my thull brethren'

Maeyja Siavess mutters 'Well, here goes nothing.'

Akriados says 'if I can take out many grolims I can surely take anything that dares to challenge me'

Lord Gerath shakes his head, and glances about the cavern again.

Maeyja Siavess steps into the portal, enveloped in shimmering light.

Akriados looks at Mae and grins.

Akriados says 'Painless, wasn't it?'

Akriados says 'so, should we head north or south?'

Lord Gerath looks back to seeing Maeyja and nods once, then seems to once again go into a guarding posture as his eyes sweep about the cavern.

Akriados looks at an item attached to his cloak and points.

Akriados says 'that way is north.'

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "I would think it best to set up a camp and await the dawn to proceed forth."

Akriados says 'Although we are underground, I could use a rest.'

Akriados pats Lord Gerath on his head.

Lord Gerath shakes his head.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "Indeed i would not advise staying in here overnight, instead back in the ruins would be for the best I do think."

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "There is no telling what doth lie in waiting lower in these ruins of old."

Maeyja Siavess nods.

Akriados says 'true'

Akriados says 'and it's easier to set a cooking fire out in the open.'

Akriados says 'works for me!'

Akriados steps back into the portal.

Maeyja Siavess says 'Well, let's set up camp then.'

Lord Gerath nods and motions chivilariously for Maeyja to proceed first through the portal back.

Lord Gerath states in a rich tenor, "I will bring up the rear gladly m'lady."

Lord Gerath waits patiently for Maeyja to reenter the portal, then follows her out.

Lord Gerath walks about with an eager smile as he begins to help make the camp preparations, "Let us turn in for this fine evening, and we may beset then upon this strange cavern at first light."

Lady Kerowa Ramos mutters 'fire' and starts a small campfire near Akriado's foot accidentally.

Akriados jumps back.

Lady Kerowa Ramos mutters something quietly to herself.

Akriados says 'Hey now! Watch were you summon fire!'

Lady Kerowa Ramos says 'My magic is still a bit .. shaky'

Lady Kerowa Ramos tries again and mutters 'fire'.
