What is life energy?

Prana (Indian), Chi (Chinese), Ki (Japanese), psychic energy, Psi, vital force. These are all names for the same thing: "Life Eneregy". It is the invisible form of energy found within and surrounding any living creature, it exists on a subtle level and manifests itself in various frequencies. The level of ones consciousness determines the frequencies of parana one is capable of perceiving, storing and manipulating.

It all starts with consciousness, it is who we are and our experience of being, it is connected to every cell of our bodies. The whole universe with every thing in it including us is composed of energy, our bodies are simply formed of networks of lines of force that carry energy particles that manifest as our bodies. any change in consciousness results in a change of energy, that finally leads to and manifests into a physical change.

So the physical level including our physical bodies, is not the only level of existence, it is just one level that happens to be the easiest level to perceive. Maybe there is no hard proof on that, but certainly it's not just a new theoretical trend or something. Studying of this energy started thousands of years ago in ancient civilizations like the Chinese, Tibetan, Indian and ancient Egyptian civilizations, and it continued till the present day. We hear about many applications for it in things like Yoga, alternative medicine, some martial arts and in ESP "extra sensory perception" studies, and it works.

Let's say that living creatures including humans are "Energy Units", each unit is composed of networks of energy forming interconnecting and integrated layers and systems, the physical layer is just one layer of them, surrounded by an energy field and penetrated by an energy core.

The field that surrounds the physical layer is called "Aura" and it is composed of several layers. These layers are connected to each other, to the physical body and to the external energy sources of the universe through "ports" that sense, absorb, process the energy taken from the external sources and control its inflow and outflow, these ports are called "Chakras".

There are major chakras and other minor ones, there's also an energy storage system composed of several centers that store the processed energy we need, and energy pathways in which the energy flows from one place to another. The energy networks that form each "energy unit" cross each other at certain points, these points are where the chakras located.

So in brief, the systems forming each "energy unit", particularly humans, are:
1. Aura with its layers (seven in most systems)
2. Chakra system including the major and minor chakras
3. Energy storage system (mainly 3 centers)
4. Interconnecting energypathways system.

But what does all this have to do with vampirism?
Vampires (just for the lack of a better term), have an altered or deficient energy system. For a reason still unknown, one of the major chakras, is either altered or completely absent, also there's a higher level of energy depletion, making it almost impossible to be sustained just by the slef- produced energy obtained by natural means like food intake, and resulting in a constant need to acquire energy directly from outside sources to replenish ones own energy and keep a standard level of wellbeing, and that's the need moving both energy and blood vampires to feed.
