I worked at OZ OPTICS LTD in a Document support function, creating detailed
work instructions for fiber optic production in an ISO standards environment. 
Sat down with the document source (subject material expert), using a digital
camera and Microsoft Word along with many other software/graphics packages.  
I helped in obtaining ISO 9002 certification.

Started for Philsar Semiconductor Since Jan. / 2000 as an RF chip tester
(contract), in April / 2000 my contract was over, and because of my past
experience with computers, I was asked to help out in the I.T. department.  
In May / 2000 I was offered a full time position with the company that bought
Philsar. (Conexant Systems Inc.)I was responsible for over 80 PC users, 5
Servers, backup strategies, Lotus Notes and network consistency.  This was a
small I.T. department, one other and I running a hybrid NT/Unix environment.
The Senior I.T. manager traveled on business trips often and felt comfortable
leaving me responsible for the network operation and user support in his
absence.
Primary function was configuring all new and used computer desktops, laptops,
and workstations, new account setups, network connections, software
installation and configuration according to business needs.  Secondary
responsibility was to monitor and service the Lotus Notes Server, Backup
Server, and Unix Servers. Involved in a whole new network setup; to align the
site with Conexant IP and naming conventions and new hardware had to be
installed also. Being the first Canadian acquisition of Conexant's, our
department was also asked to support additional sites in Canada.  We supported
a sales office in Kanata also.

product assembly, and plant training packages for all levels of employees in
both classroom and production, utilizing Intranet Web, PC, and HTML tools as
well as technical writing of hard copy manuals.  Experienced in material

NPI (New Product Introduction) - Represented the division at corporate
headquarters for new product orientations in preparation for creating
product-training packages.  Successfully introduced several PC's, Workstations
and Servers to the manufacturing lines in the Kanata facility.

Team player / Individual contributor 1994-1998- Part of a four-man team for 
offshore manufacturing start-ups in Sao Paulo, Campinas, and in Hortolandia
Brazil. Repeatedly introduced PC, Workstation and Server new products for
contract manufacturing assembly on time and ahead of schedule.  Increased
Brazilian sales revenue growth by 158% and market share for 1998 through
innovative computer CKD(Complete Knock Down) kits, avoiding expensive
importation taxes, and making the computers more price competitive. Personally
developed and delivered product training and technical support to the site,
assembly processes, planned product deployment, implementation, problem
resolution, and product training. Created and communicated ECN (Engineering
Change Notifications) to the Brazil facility from Canada through email.

Training website development (Online Training) - Established and maintained a
training website for more than four years for Kanata manufacturing.  Presented
training packages through the Intranet to the shop floor, used as a tool to
introduce new products to the production line.  Created many product-training
packages and visual aids using a digital camera, PowerPoint and Word plus
various graphic programs and HTML editors.

Was responsible for introducing new hires to production, delivering a
combination of classroom and on the job product training packages for a
flexible workforce of 200-400.
