The work you see above is typical of DonJon Marine's handling of break-bulk cargo (i.e. oversized - overdimensional - overweight). This job required DonJon to transfer (1) GE generator stator weighing approx. 253 ton and (2) GE steam turbines weighing 116 ton. General Electric manufactures these units in Schenectady, NY.
DonJon visits the Port of Albany approximately 10 times per year to load units to ships or barges. In addtion to Heavy Liffting, DonJon provides services that include: Salvage, Dredging, Transportation, Engineering, Heavy Lift, Demolition and HazMat handling.
