As of the begining of 2002, I am a mother who is seven years old in experience. My children are Alex, 7; Michelle, 6; Nathanael, 4; T.J., 2; and Emily, 1. Some call me crazy, I tend to lean towards strong although sometimes I feel anything but strong. When I only had the first two and was pregnant again, I felt like I was going to die. I was tired but didn’t seem to accomplish anything. I was lonely and unsure but afraid and prideful to ask questions or express concerns because everyone else seemed to have this motherhood thing down pat. It was then that I started to go to MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). At first all I could do was soak up the encouragement and stories of failures, successes and survival. I found that I was not alone and someone understood me. During discussion with other moms I gained confidence as a woman and a mother.
Last fall the idea of this web site and newsletter started to grow in me. This idea would not leave me alone and the newsletter, Moms2Moms is the result. In a nut shell the purpose of this newsletter is that we, as mothers, could inspire and encourage each other during all stages of motherhood and that ideas, concerns, accomplishments, and feelings could be shared together making us stronger in our mission to be better moms. I pray that you will laugh, become inspired, gleam a helpful tip and feel better about yourself and what you are doing.
