ED....(king of the program files)

Before Ed, I didn't have a computer, I had really No Idea what the heck computing was all about ...Not even a clue! In 1994 ED, gave me his 386, a great old computer named "Myrtle"! At first I didn't even know how to turn it on..!!! (what the hell was this thing?) He had much patience and gave me lots of encouragement through My 'Dark Days'... I can honestly say If it wasn't for Ed, I'd still be watching TV..without a clue..!!
My thanks to Ed, for introducing me to this great "Cyber " world .....

More About ED

As far as I know ED became interested in computers way back when he was a pipe fitter. Installing the air conditioning for an early VACUUM TUBE Computer being built in Philly.

His interest in electronics (inherited from his farther) had led him into Radio, and State of the Art Stereo. So this computer really interested him. He began with those early primitive "Box's" and then up through the TRS-80's, 8086's, 286's, 386's , etc...

At the time of his passing he was using a custom made Dual Pentium 90 computer (that he named "MegaMyrt"), 64MB RAM, over 11GB worth of SCIS Drives, 22" Pro Monitor and was surrounded by Lazer printers, Scanners, and all sorts of things.

Ed had been known to go days at a time on his computer; without sleep, running only on coffee , cigarettes, and the occasional sandwich brought to him by a family member.

They referred to his computer room as "The Cave" to see it you would understand.
