I have had This 1986 truck since about 1999. I bought it while I was in business for myself and had to haul ladders, tools and television sets around.

Right after I bought it, the notorious timing chain guides broke, and the timing chain wore thru the front cover and into the water pump housing.

I replaced the original engine with parts from my 22R Hybrid from the Celica. I swapped the original head and downdraft carb onto the 22R hi-compression 10:1 block with TRD pistons. I ported the head a little, reshaped the combustion chambers a little, and added an EFI cam with the aluminum 1.6:1 rocker arms. This engine has a 20R front cover and dual row timing chain with steel-backed guides. This is a strong engine that will now run for many years.

I did the bodywork and paint myself, It looks great from a distance!! There are a couple of dents that I worked on that you can still see if you know where to look, and a couple places I tried to put the paint on too thick. Oh well, I still think it looks pretty good for a work truck.

My daughter is doing the driving here (just learning).

Yes it is 2 wheel drive, but we still have fun out in the desert with it.

These are the most recent pictures of the truck.

I don't WANT to sell it, but I have a company vehicle I drive everyday, so the truck just sits. It has not been driven regularly for over a year. The tags are due ($31 for 2 years) I just bought a new battery for it, it went dead from sitting, and the insurance is due again. I don't want to invest that much money in a vehicle I don't even drive, so it's up for sale.

It just breezed thru emissions. The test results are good for 90 days, so you can use the sheet I got if you hurry!

The truck is not in perfect condition, it is missing the driver side door panel, and the driver side window mechanism is acting up (That's why the door panel was removed and then lost by the previous owner to begin with). I took some trim pieces off to paint the truck and haven't put them all back on yet. Most of them can be found behind the seat. The radio is not mounted professionally, but it has stayed put since 1999. And from sitting, the A/C need to be charged.

Eww.. did I really let the engine get THAT dirty?? Shame on me!

Anyway it runs better than stock, has an automatic transmission with overdrive, power steering, almost new tires, toolbox painted the same color as the truck, chrome rims, extended cab and fresh paint. If you'd like it to be yours, offer me about $1250 and drive it home... Or any reasonable offer. I'm in Glendale, AZ.
