MARUTI GYPSY

The Maruti Gypsy is India's version of the Suzuki Jimny, at one time one of the best-selling four-wheel drives in the world. The Gypsy is a remarkable go-as-you-please vehicle. Though not as solid a workhorse as the Mahindra Jeeps, this vehicle, considering its size and weight, is tough and can take a lot of pounding, it is used extensively by the defence forces, as has been also proved in rallies where the Gypsy dominated. It serves well as a personal four-wheel-drive "car", being extremely refined, better finished and a lot easier to drive than any Jeep. And it is also extremely reliable and, to a large extent, trouble free.
