Who is MWA, LLC?

Mountain Wave Aviation, LLC is a family-owned company organized to provide flight instruction and commercial pilot services by general aviation pilots for general aviation pilots, owners, and operators.  In years past, as flight instructors at a busy FBO in Tucson, AZ, we recognized the dire need for good, conscientious, experienced flight instructors and pilots in the general aviation arena.  The vast majority of flight instructors today are merely "marking time" in their logbooks, waiting for the phone to ring for that first charter or regional airline job.  To a small degree, we fell into that mold as well...  But unlike that vast majority of professional pilots, we still consider ourselves "GA pilots who just happen to have acquired our dream jobs".  Holly and Matt Haag, owners of Mountain Wave Aviation, are both third generation GA pilots, regional airline captains, and experienced Gold Seal Flight Instructors with nearly 80 FAA practical test sign-offs between them.  The mission of Mountain Wave Aviation is to bring a higher level of proficiency and safety to our fellow pilots who are active in the GA arena.

What do we do?

Mountain Wave Aviation specializes in training GA owner/operators in their own aircraft, on their own schedule.  Our particular specialties are instrument ratings, complex/high performance endorsements, tailwheel endorsements, multi-engine ratings, insurance proficiency training, mountain flying and back country operations, and airline interview & career consulting.

Where in the world are we?

We're back!  As of May 1, 2005 we are in Salt Lake City, UT.  However, have airplane (and airline benefits), will travel.
