Mevagissey
Mevagissey may be a picture postcard  village but it is also a busy fishing port.

In bygone days huge quantities of pilchards were caught by seine nets, 'cured' in rock salt, packed in casks and exported to Italy and the West Indies. The port's record output was in 1724 when over four thousand tons were despatched.

The Methodist Church and the United Reformed Church in Mevagissey came together some years ago to form St. Andrew's United Church.

Sunday worship is held at 10.45 am
