| Victoria Road Methodist Church was designed by the prominent Cornish architect Silvanus Trevail and built in 1873. After over 120 years of faithful service it was clear that mounting maintenance costs made the upkeep of a building which was designed for a former age no longer viable. Although an extension was added in the 1950's access was restricted and there were no adequate toilet or kitchen facilities. Reluctantly it was decided to start again. |

| Mount Charles Methodist Church was built in 1996 Although limited by the same narrow site between the busy Victoria Road and the main railway line, the new building incorporates all the features one would expect in a modern church with a growing congregation. If you are in our neighbourhood come and meet us. You will be very welcome. |
