Rating : PG Lurking in the dark , he followed her , the silver moon , reflected on her pale skin gave her such an aura , that he felt as though in the presence of a goddess . Her hair loose on her shoulders , her hips swaying she slowly walked towards the silvery water . And he felt his heart pounding in his chest . To peep was not his intent , but to keep her safe , although he couldn’t help himself but notice her breath taking features. He sat against the tree , trying not to notice her that much , eyeing her from time to time to make sure she was all right . When suddenly he realized she was gone . With his eyes he scanned the surroundings , but she was nowhere to be seen . Fear took over his mind , as he quickly rose on his feet to start looking for her . A hand tapped his shoulder he turned fast , but he barely could see who it was or even point his weapon , before a hand came down slapping his face with such force . He clenched his jaw trying to ignore the pain and come to terms with what just happened. Damn it! I should have been more aware of the situation! "Calm down," he told himself, "you have more important things to worry about now... Like how are you going to convince her that the only reason you are here is to protect her !” “ Lord John Roxton , How dare you ?” She stood in front of him , partially dressed , and his eyes devoured every centimeter . “MMMMarguerite !” He smiled , “It’s not what you think” Rubbing his face . “It never is Lord John isn’t it.” She wanted to be mad , but he looked like a little kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar . She had to admit that the situation was quite embarrassing but also quite funny . “ So , come on , answer me.” “ Don’t flatter yourself , I was here to make sure nothing bad happens to you , it isn’t smart to leave the tree house unprotected... and in the middle of the night I might add.” “ Well excuse me , but I think I am entitled to a little bit of pampering .” She replied sarcastically . Seeing his eyes rolling all over her , she realized the state she was in . She let out a sigh .” Men ...” and got fully dressed . Roxton was still confused with everything that had happened , and his brain seemed to be digging up every single fantasy he had had about her , until her words brought him back to reality . “ Well , I am heading to the tree house , did I thank you enough for you “ protection”?” He smiled and followed her , trying in every way to convince her of his real motives , but to no use . “ She indeed seemed to enjoy the fact that I was there .” He thought , “ Or things could have been much worse if she hadn't , after all this was Marguerite.” She walked towards her room , and he kept walking behind her , explaining to her the dangers she might have ran in to if he wasn’t present , but her silence was enough to tell him that she wasn’t buying into it , and that indeed she was enjoying the state he was in . “You know what , whatever makes you sleep at night Marguerite , Good night , and try to remain in your bed , next time there might not be someone to look after you .” She turned to face him , grabbed him by the shoulder as he started to walk . She leaned closer , brushing her lips to his softly and then more passionately , until his hands surrounded her . She pulled away , looking into his eyes , grinning . “ Just to keep you hanging .” She brushed his shoulder . “ Now I truly can sleep at night .”she whipsered and headed to her room . He stood there , thirsty for more and yet satisfied and pleased . Before his legs could finally move him to his room , he looked in her room’s direction and said smiling . “ You might be able to sleep my dear , but I don’t think my brain will find peace tonight .” The end hope you like it . |
