The Social & Movie Group is a great way to meet young people and have some fun. The club has been running in Toowoomba for the past five years and we are planning a bigger and better year in 2004.
To become a member of the social and movie group you need to pay a membership fee of $12 for the year. The money goes back into the club to cover advertising, postage for the newsletters and it may also cover food and prizes at selected functions.
Every 3 months we hold a meeting upstairs at Jilly's Cafe(Margaret St, Toowoomba) to decide on functions for the coming months, after our meeting we produce the newsletter which is then sent out to all financial members.
The next meeting for the social and movie group will be held at Jilly's on Tuesday 13th January 2004. At this meeting we will be discussing all the functions that we would like to do throughout the year.
THE MOVIES........
We attend the movies the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. Paul normally selects the movie so if you can make it each week you just ring him. If you need his number, please feel free to contact us at moviegrouptmba@hotmail.com. We normally go for coffee after the movies to allow members a chance to catch up.
THE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS .....
In the last couple of years we have held some great social functions .....here is a sample:

* indoor rock climbing
* indoor go-karts
* Ten Pin Bowling
* Dinner Parties
* Car Rally's
* Picnics in the Parks
* Day trip to Eummundi markets
* Camping trips and bush walking
* Drinks at the GPO cafe (Margaret St) on 3rd Friday of each month
* Tennis and BBQ afternoon
* dining out at local restaurants.........
The possibilities are endless. It is all up to what the members want to do. It is a great way to meet other young people and have a great time. We try to cater for everyone's hobbies, interests and budgets.
