Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Eine Klein Nachtmusik
Sound: 7 Feeling: 8 Presentation: 7 |

Running time: 5:37 | ||||||||||||
Mozart's most famous piece, this song was never performed in his life, and it is still not known why he wrote it. It opens with a light, upbeat woodwind melody, one that has now become famous. It seems odd that Mozart, at the age of Thiry-one, returned to the simple, upbeat style of his very early youth. At the same time he wrote it, he compleated Don Giovanni, a dark and terrifying opera. What caused the depressed young man to write such a cheery serenade is beyond me. With that in mind, it's almost sad and mysterious to hear the song. Around the 3:25 mark it goes into an almost dreadfully sorrowful flute solo which is quickly followed by the light, carefree melody. The ending is just lovely with a beautiful variation of the theme. All in all, this piece leaves you with an uplifted spirit and a clear mind.
You are hearing a midi version of it, it doesn't give this song justice
