"You got a problem with that?"
Constructive suggestions are always welcome. However, there were episodes related to the first three reunions wherein a handful of people found it necessary to complain about the arrangements, locations, prices, food/drink choices, etc. In  two or three cases, the "reunion coordinator(s)" received phone calls and/or letters from those who didn't like what we'd set up, and a few other cases of complaints during the reunions. You know, the kind of cases where the complainer had little or no involvement in the job of organizing but found it within their rights to criticize what others had done. While this is the exception and not the rule, and comes from a T-I-N-Y percentage of classmates, it's a bit disheartening.

We do try very hard to accommodate the majority of classmates, to make the prices reasonable and to facilitate as much fun as the law allows. We also realize that many people, whether due to family, job, other commitments, or simply living too far away, can't help with the fundraising and/or planning. So we do our best to have the nicest reunions possible within our means, and gladly do the work. Just having reunions is a bit of an accomplishment (you may be surprised at how many other classes don't!). Ours is among the very few classes who've had a reunion at each of the 5, 10, 15, 20 AND 25-year anniversaries.

If you want to have fun, by all means join us! If you're just going to tell us what a crappy job we're doing or what annoys you, well............. Be aware that our reunion "coordinator" has no problem with telling the yappers where to get off, whether the bellyaching is directed at him or at any other member of the fundraising/planning committee (Please refer to the "photo" at the top of the page!).

If you really do see a problem, we can always use more help. An old saying comes to mind: If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. Also, for anyone who would complain about and criticize what we've accomplished, YOU'RE MORE THAN WELCOME TO ORGANIZE  THE NEXT REUNION! We've already arranged the upcoming 2005 reunion. We'll keep going the way we've been unless someone thinks he/she can do better. So keep a positive attitude, let the people who put it all together know how much you appreciate it, and give us a hand if you can. Drop us an email, and we'll let you know (or YOU let US know) how you can help.

Again, CONSTRUCTIVE input is welcome. Here's to hoping that you've seen both the message and the humor of this page.
