Nott
Pantheon: Norse Mythology

Nott ("Night") is the personification of night, and the daughter of the giant Narvi. Nott was married three times and with each husband she had one child. With her first husband, Naglfari, she had a son, Aud. With her second husband, Annar, she had a daughter, Jord ("earth"). With her third husband, the shining god Dellinger ("dawn"), she had a son Dag ("day"). She and her son were given horse-drawn chariots by the gods and were placed in the sky to round the world every two half-days. Nott's chariot is pulled by the steed Hrimfaxi ("frost-maned") which covers the earth with dew early in the morning.
