Ratatosk ("Branch Borer") is the squirrel whose duty it is to carry insults back and forth between between the falcon Vedfolnor who sits at the uppermost bough of Yggdrasil, and the dragon Nidhogg who lies at the lowest roots of the tree in Niflheim.
