The holiday madness has come & gone, & warmer weather has been abundant throughout the season! Hopefully everyone has had a chance to enjoy the "heat wave" & spend some time with our palominos. MPHA is looking forward to a successful year with final show plans currently in the works.  This year, MPHA is hosting the kick-off show for the Midwest Gold Challenge at St. Joseph County Fairgrounds in Centreville, Michigan.  Mark May 19th & 20th, 2007 on your calendars and save the date to join us for fun & yellow horses! Plans for fantastic awards are in the making, as well as the potential for a joint challenge with PEAO, our Ohio affiliate.

NEW for 2007 is an updated website. You may notice the changes our pages have received in the last year.  Special thanks to Shori for keeping us up-to-date & interesting. Also, beginning this month we are introducing a "Member of the Month" feature. Is there someone that you think deserves a "special" thank you? An exhibitor that has displayed standout ability? Or a member who has been an asset to the club? Use the link to the right to e-mail us & tell us who
YOU think deserves to be in the GOLD SPOTLIGHT as our "MPHA Member of the Month."

2007 is a year of opportunity for all of us here in Michigan & surrounding states, and we look forward to seeing everyone there! Remember PHBA Youth show FREE with one paid open class - get your kids involved in this wonderful chance to share a passion for horses. We will also continue to run RAINBOW ALL BREED classes for your non-yellow horses in your barn.
Charlotte
Squires
&
Gold
Bar Pat
From Open shows to the PHBA World Show in Tulsa, Charlotte Squires leaves an impression in the ring.

Earning honors with her PHBA/AQHA gelding GOLD BAR PAT (aka Ernie), Charlotte creates tough competition in all around youth events.

Currently serving as the MPHA Youth President, Charlotte has been a youth representative for Michigan at the World Show for 2 years.  With top five finishes, and several ROMs, she enjoys the challenges of showing her palomino horses.

Currently, she is working with her 2 year old palomino gelding Raisin Hilfiger, or Tator Tot.  They look forward to making their debut later this year.  Charlotte is a freshman at Tecumseh High School in Tecumseh, Michigan.

Congratulations Charlotte!  Good luck in 2007!
