| This is a repaint of a DC Direct Green Arrow figure. The colours are chosen to represent a more traditional Robin Hood figure. I tried to use a variety of earthy colours, not just green, and I avoided the common bright green often worn by Hollywood Hoods! The hardest part was the eyes. The Green Arrow figure wears a mask so I had to paint this out without him looking like he was wearing a pink mask. Also, the eyes on the figure were blank white so I had to make tiny dots to suggest pupils. I had intended to leave the leather straps on both arms but when I had finished they looked excessive so I painted over one of them. The moulding does not show too much on the finished figure (not as bad as the “Prince of thieves” figure anyway, itself mostly a Green Arrow repaint.) This figure retains all his articulation. |
