Welcome to Mark's place on the web
Well this is my first attempt at building a web page so please bear with me. Well I thought I would start by telling you about me. I am single and in my early 40’s. I live in Vancouver Washington. I work for Zupan’s market in Portland. I have worked in grocery all my life. I am also a volunteer Firefighter for fire dist#6 in Clark County. I have been with the fire district sense October of 1988 and hold the rank of Lieutenant.

Some of my interests are the stock market, golfing, fishing, hiking and traveling (which I don’t get to do as much as I would like). I have a
blog that I hope to update on a regular basis to tell about myself and to share information about the things I like and maybe make some new friends.

I guess a good place to start would be my interest in the stock market. I have been investing in stocks sense 1987. My first stock was Bemis (BMS). They manufacture and sale of flexible packaging products and pressure sensitive materials. You probably use some of their products every day and you don’t even know it. They make a lot of the wrap and film covering for many of the food products you but at the grocery store. They are not a big high flying company but they have been a steady stable growing company sense I bought them and they pay a good dividend each quarter.
My last vacation in February 2007 I went down to Las Vegas and then to Laughlin. I had never been to Laughlin and had a good time. Amazingly I didn’t do that much gambling. While we were in Las Vegas we ran around and checked out all the casinos which took a lot of time. I really think you could spend a whole week there just seeing the different casinos and sights. We went down town to see the Freemont Experience. If you have never seen it you really should. They show a light show on a canopy that covers 2 blocks. We also went out to the Rio and saw their carnival in the sky show. The Las Vegas strip is something to see.

Laughlin was more casual and a slower pace. The casinos are smaller. There is also a lot to see there too. We drove down to Lake Havasu and saw the London Bridge, we even drove over it. The bridge was bought by the city and took apart. They shipped it over to the city were it was put back together brick by brick. I have put a few picture to the right for you to look at.
