Beanieday Night Live

Beanieday Night Live is a series of chats based on “Saturday Night Live” started at The Beanie Zoo Group to get the Beanie community booming again, as well as to bring back recurring chats. A Beanie ensemble performs sketch comedy about current Beanie Baby events and if Beanie Babies took on real life. This page gives details on everything that has gone on during these chats.

The cast started out with Baby Boy, Baby Girl, Bandito, Flaky, Hodgepodge, Rusty, Seadog, Woody, and featured players Carnation, Dublin, and Smitten, and expanded each month as Beanies released and retired. Like the Info Beanies, each cast member won’t immediately leave after their retirement is announced, and like “Saturday Night Live” when they leave the cast [retire], as long as you vote, you can see them return to host.

Cast members create amusing characters such as “Superman” spoof Secretman and genetic mutation The Red Goat, plus do wacky impressions of Ty Inc. members like Ty Warner and Beanie Babies like Curly, and take on world history and entertainment – Beanie style. Often when recurring hosts appear on chats, they perform the skits when returning to host, such as “Scat and the Cats”.

Due to low attendance, I stopped doing these chats at The Beanie Zoo, but in June 2004, I brought back BNL, but changed it to a biweekly chat and moved it to Beanie Trade Pals. At that point, only Carnation, Colosso, Fancy, Frisco, Orion, and Rumba were left in the current cast, but it was easy to find replacements. As I have the time, I may perform a popular sketch from the chats, old or new, any time, any place, at any Yahoo Group, without having to do a full-length chat.
