Anne: Good evening, Beanie collectors and businessmen who really don’t care. I have called this conference to announce my departure from the Ty Inc. Corporation. Last week I got a little fed up and everything, and now I think its time for me to leave before I turn into a Beanie. You see, the market is doing very badly now, and our sales have been declining. Rumor has it there will be no Billionaire 6. We’re going to be demoted to Millionaire Bear this year.

Ty: Anne, I’m sorry, but we’ve just been demoted to “Joe Millionaire Bear”.

Anne: What the heck do you mean?
Ty: We’re going to say we made a million dollars in sales and profits although we actually didn’t.

Anne: Ty, when are you ever going to stop lying? That’s another reason why I’m quitting. Throughout the ten years Ty has been making Beanie Babies, he never knew these would become international sensations. We went to Canada, the UK, Japan, Asia… but after that one incident with the Royal Blue Peanut Beanie Baby, we knew these would be hot items. So Ty went on and on to sell his product, “Buy these and you can make a lot of money someday soon!” Yeah, yeah, yeah. But after September 11, your sales have declined because of the low stock market and lack of popularity!
Ty: Lack of popularity was probably caused by the low stock market. No one’s collecting anymore because sales haven’t been too great.

Anne: That’s right. And don’t just blame the stock market, we are fighting each and every day for Beanie collectors so we can stop these Chubbley Bears from getting the money that should be ours!

Ty: Come on. The Chubbley Bears are just as cute as our items are…

Anne: Sure, you say that, but take a look at this piece of sleazy trash: “Mr. Beanwell’s Worst Dressed List”! Your item, Gizmo, which you went on and on and on about being cute and adorable, was ranked number one! I’m not going to stand for this, so this is why I’m quitting!
