My Review of Decade the Bear

There comes a Tyme every year for a milestone to come up. In 2001 Ty celebrated 15 years in business. In 2002 Ty celebrated 100 years of the teddy bear. In 2003 Ty celebrates 10 years of Beanie Babies. How to celebrate? Decade the bear.

I'm glad Ty didn't make a big, big deal about him - all he did was post his name on the Ty guides and didn't post a big release announcement newsflash. They did the same with Celebrate the 15th anniversary bear on August 1, 2001. But enough about that, let's talk about Decade.

Birthday: 1/22/03
Ten years ago a toy was created
Around the world, people were elated
Across all ages, colors and races
Beanies would put a smile on their faces!

Decade is a - yes, blue, if that is Ty's favorite color, which it probably is, since every bear that comes out now is blue - bear with sparkles on its body similar to 2001 Signature Bear but longer. It's like a party on a Hallmark shelf where every Beanie collector is invited. A pin on the bear reads "10 Year Anniversary", commemorating the ten years Beanies have been around.

It's great that you wanted to commemorate ten years of Beanie Babies, Ty, but you could have done better. You should have tried something new instead of blue, blue, blue. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this a 6. It would have been a 10 if Ty did better with the design. But still, congratulations on your method of introducing Decade.
