I can only credit reading books and my philosophical/theological upbringing as the biggest influence in my life.
In learning who I am (slowly and with great surprise) I have found several things to be true about me:
I am guided by a strong sense of aesthetics.
I am guided by a naturally pensive and reflective mind.
I have a gift of discernment, meaning I have a strong ability to see through thoughts and have correct judgement of many issues.  This is manifest most strongly in studying philosophy and theology.  Basically I find it easy to see through these things to the core issue or flaws
I am far more fit for the arts and philosophy than I am for trade.  Which is a point of contention with the more rational side of my family but I have been trying to balance this by attempting to marry rich.  (if you believe that you are gullible)
Music, for me, is a way to express what I have a hard time expressing in words.
using words I can explain philosophy and discuss beauty.  But with music I can actually demonstrate the underlying feelings or passions that I feel.
Writing about the feeling of bitter-sweet love is less potent sometimes than conveying the feeling through an artistic medium (music, visual arts, et cetera)
In achieving proficiency in both disciplines (art and philosophy) I can not only describe and critique thoughts, feelings and impressions but I can create them, display them, demonstrate them.
As you, the reader, might have expected biographical information I shall provide a small amount for your pacification.
