Many people hold a belief that everything is relative, taking that to mean that nothing can be absolute and “final” and that all perspectives somehow are correct. (not Albert Einstein’s brilliant scientific principles)  In a very simple way relativism is correct (definitive statements made from a finite viewpoint are relative to the observers perception) but in truth, relativism is only true relatively. (so to speak)
The best example of this is the logical fallacy that occurs when we assume that everything is relative and therefore no statement can be made that is absolute.
Did you catch it?  I’ll repeat it.
“No one can make an absolute statement, it is impossible.”
Or,
“Everything is relative, nothing can be stated with certainty.”
I do hope that you see the flaw.  If you do, then perhaps you will be able to free yourself from the worldview that we have been indoctrinated with for several generations.  The relativistic worldview has long been a crutch for existential thought and positivism but unfortunately cannot stand up under the weight of its own logic.
