Various activities: outside
runs, 12min runs, fitness stations, skipping, aerobics need to be incorporated
in all Phys-Ed classes. ( ie A Fitness Training Plan )
Assessment:

Used Early in the
School Year, Mid – Year and End of the Year

The beginning effort
will be used as a baseline benchmark

Assessment needs to be
based on Physical Effort & Personal Improvement
v Possibly a simple chart could be established for each
individual students to note their progress
v A percentage of the letter grade would be based on Improvement and Effort on Test
Suggestions:

Level of Fitness
Assessment will take place near the beginning and the end of each Term.
v The beep test can accompany other fitness tests that help determine a student’s fitness development.
v Each PE professional is to determine his/her own class fitness-training schedule, but it should be implemented on a daily basis. ( ie: 15 mins training per class )see attached or see Shaun or Melissa.*Idea* reward the top students in each class for most consistent effort regarding the fitness training for each day.
