Here is an explanation of the school homework policy:

Students should not spend more than 90 minutes per night. This time should be budgeted in the following manner:

15 minutes looking for assignment

11 minutes calling a friend for the assignment

23 minutes explaining why the teacher is mean and just does not like children

8 minutes in the bathroom

10 minutes getting a snack

7 minutes checking the TV Guide

6 minutes telling parents that the teacher never explained the assignment

10 minutes sitting at the kitchen table waiting for Mom or Dad to do the assignment

These are given the night before they are dew. This explains the name ‘long term’. It is a long-term commitment to time that begins at 9:30PM and ends at 11:50PM - or later. It is important that the whole family is involved in the project. It is imperative that at least one family member races to Walmart for poster board, and that at least one family member end up in tears (does not have to be the student). One parent needs to stay up and complete the project. The other parent needs to call the school and leave a message that the student is out sick. It is not necessary to have the student’s name on the assignment. The End

1.      Go to Handouts and open file called Homework Policy’. Use ‘Save As’ to save file to your directory. Name it with this name format: firstname.HW

 

2.      Change the top and bottom margins to 0.5

3.      Change right and left margins to 0.7

 

4.      Place in a header, First & Last name, block, Date: Font-Arial, size10

 

5.      Right Justify Header, return after it

 

6.      Place in a footer, ‘Information Technology 7 -’; Font- Arial, size 10, left justify

 

7.      Insert Title on first line, “School Homework Policy”. Make the entire title bold, centered, size 24, font-Tahoma

 

8.      Directly beneath the title, center  http://www.oocities.org/mrbanser (font-Arial, size10, text-blue. Return once after this.

 

9.      Select all the text after the title and make the font-Comic Sans MS, size l2 and line spacing 1.5~. Fully justify all the text.

 

10.    Select from “15 minutes   to “do the assignment” and make this a bullet list indented once. Make this a bullet list. Make this section single space. Return twice after the list.

 

11.    Insert a subheading, “LONG TERM ASSIGNMENTS”. Make this bold. Return once after this.

 

12.    Select and Cut “The End” and place it on the next line, centered, size 18, bold, and in italics.

 

13.    Spell check and proofread your document.

 

14.    Print off one copy and hand it in.

 

Note:    Your document should fit on ONE page. Check your criteria carefully before printing (More than one page is a mark deduction).
