SKILL CRITERIA

1.         Dribbling               Head up, push ball to floor, control and protect using both hands.


2.         Passing                  Accurate, index finger points to receiver, aim for the chest, step toward target

                                        moderate pace – catchable.


3.         Lay up                   Right, left sides, shooting knee and arm drives up, use backboard, 45 degree angle

                                        approach.


4.         Set Shot                Arm 90 degree angle, knees bent, start with feet, elbow in, wrist cocked, follow

                                         through, arc pattern of ball flight, aim for backboard or back rim.

 

 

 

 

 

 

MARKING CRITERIA

 

1.      Poor                    -   Skill is low on average or skill and or effort is inadequate. No attempt to try skill.


2.      Fair                     -   Acceptable, but executes skills with many errors that results in inconsistency in

                                         performance and overall effectiveness


3.      Average               -   Skills meet elements of good form, but lack smoothness and ease
                                         or lack of control in one or two respects, which affects skill as a whole.


4.      Good                   -   Skills give general impression of good form, but minor varia­tions exist, consistent

                                         in performance and effectiveness


5.      Excellent              -   Skills meet all elements with no apparent errors, consistent in performance and

                                         effectiveness.
