This second quiz from our Ecology Unit will test recent information from text readings and activities, general class discussions, and handout information since the last quiz.

A few suggestions would be to read through your notes and review the text readings that were assigned and discussed in class. Also, make up vocabulary study cards and cards with questions on the front and answers on the back. The quiz will cover main ideas and not picky details to test your general knowledge and understanding of the Ecology material over the last few weeks.

The following areas should be reviewed and practiced:

Ø Notes on abiotic and biotic examples

Ø Notes on producers, and the different levels of consumers (understanding who eats who and why)

Ø Definitions on food chains and food webs

Ø Chapter three vocabulary definitions handout

Ø Questions and your responses from the text readings assigned and marked/discussed in class

Ø Textbook pages cover from pg. 41- 63

Ø Non-living Environment handout (5 questions) Text pages 52-54

Ø BC’s Biogeoclimatic zones - be able to name a few of them (no specific questions)

Ø Major world biomes – be able to name a couple (no specific questions)

If you find you are missing some information or are unclear about certain ideas or concepts it is your responsibility to please come and see me so we can help to clear things up. If you spend some time reviewing over the next week you will be successful!
