Food Web Criteria
A Food web is made up of
many food chains.
Steps to follow and include:
Goal: Demonstrate all organisms (graphically) in terms of their roles as part of an
interconnected food web
- Choose
at least three different producers to use in your web
- Add a
minimum 12 consumers to use at different levels in the web (primary,
secondary, higher order)
- Develop
several different lengths of chains within the web
- Correctly
connect using an arrow, the levels in each chain (arrow points in
direction of energy flow)
- Neat
and appropriate diagrams and illustrations (magazine or computer graphics are okay)
- Added
colour for eye catching poster effect
- Title
on top: Who’s Eating Who? (Large, clear lettering – stands out)
- All
illustrations are labeled (Name of organism) - neatly and spelling is correct
- All
organisms come from the same Ecosystem (ex. all desert animals, tropical, etc)
- Appropriate
planning, make use of the entire area (space), lines for chains are
clear to follow
