Purpose                One sentence explaining what you are trying to prove. Clearly stated!                /2

 

 

Hypothesis          A sentence predicting what you think will happen. Stated in a positive way,

                                    Is testable and relates to purpose.                                                                                 /3

 

 

Materials              A list (not a sentence) giving all materials used including measurements               /2

 

 

Procedure                        A step by step list of everything you did during the process. This can be in

                                    sentence form or point form (All steps, clear, accurate)                                      /4

 

 

Observations     Tells what you saw, heard, felt, smelled, or tasted (if teacher directed to!)

                                    Use appropriate senses, clear, accurate, use describing words                           /3

 

Results                  A graphic portrayal of significant observations (before and after diagrams,

charts or graphs etc.). Neatly drawn in pencil, labels, accurate                           /4

 

 

Conclusions      Answer to the original question. Is the hypothesis supported or negated? What

                                    new information was learned? Relates to the purpose, restate main result, any
