Using Microsoft Word create a poster;

(You can use Microsoft Publisher if you know this program)

· For example: A garage sale,

§ Offering a service eg. lawn mowing, weeding, odd

§ jobs.

§ No food /drink in the computer lab.

§ Anti Smoking / drugs

§ This belongs to or a Keep Out....

§ Beware of Dog /Cat etc.

Your sign must include:

§ Graphics

§ Text - use a text box and Word Art (in Microsoft word)

§ Your name (can be small eg. designed by)

§ A border

Your sign should be:

§ Attractive

§ Clear: easy to read and understand (large bold print, suitable graphics)

§ Eye-catching

§ Correct - no spelling mistakes

Your Sign should be either Landscape or Portrait and fill the page

Portrait Landscape

Go to File, Page Setup, Paper size

Toolbars (In Microsoft word)

Go to View and select Drawing, Picture and WordArt

In Draw use ‘Group’ to group pictures and text.

Use ‘Order’ to move objects to the ‘front’ and ‘back.’

Save as “firstname poster or sign” and print a hard copy and hand in to me for evaluation.
