| Small Wonder is another 80's sitcom that I had fun watching while I was growing up, unlike Mr. Belvedere which I first saw only 2 or 3 years ago and am only now appreciating. I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of the actors from Small Wonder appear in Mr. Belvedere from time to time. |

Mr. Wiggins Mr. Wiggins is one of Heather and Angela's teachers in school, and is the moderator of the debating team. When Heather and Angela join the club because they were attracted to the intelligent but nerdy teammate, it causes hilarious problems for Mr. Wiggins. In Small Wonder, William plays Brandon, the head of the Brindle family, the Lawson's pesky neighbors. William began his career in the 70's in popular shows like Barner Miller, M*A*S*H, and into the 80's and 90's with The Greatest American Hero, The Fall Guy, and Law and Order. Wesley's Football Teammate Jerry had a very small unnamed role in an episode of Mr.Belvedere, so small that if you blinked you will most likely miss it. He played one of Wesley's teammates in football. He had like one line and that's it. He looked older here than in any of the Small Wonder episodes I have seen. In SW, he played Jaime Lawson, the only son of the Lawson family who had robot Vici for a sister. Jerry pretty much disappeared after Small Wonder, but he did appear previously in TV shows like Battlestar Galactica, and Tales of the Gold Monkey. He also appeared in the 1982 movie Uncommon Valor. It has been heavily rumored though that Jerry eventually grew up to become Billy Corgan, guitarist and lead vocalist of the wildly popular alternative group Smashing Pumpkins. Penny Nichols Penny Nichols is one of the organizers of George's High-school reunion. Penny was voted "most perkiest" back in school. She gets the hots for Mr. Belvedere the instant she sees him and proceeds immediately to pursue him. At first Mr. Belvedere is reluctant but later on he tells the family that he "got lucky". In Small Wonder, Edie plays Bonnie Brindle, Brandon's wife, who is equally, if not even more annoying, than her husband. Of all the Small Wonder cast, Edie is probably the most successful, having had a long, fruitful and varied career spanning 3 decades. She has appeared in TV shows like WKRP in Cincinatti, The Pee-wee Herman Show, Moonlighting, Roseanne, Empty Nest, Picket Fences, Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and Caroline In The City. Her film credits include the classic cult horror film Carrie, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Flubber, Natural Born Killers, Holy Man and lots more. She also provided voices for animated features like Little Mermaid, Tiny Toon Adventures, and A Bug's Life. LINKS:

Brenda Bilinski Brenda is a pesky,noisy little kid who is part of the Bilinski family, for whom Mr. Belvedere moonlights as a housekeeper without the knowledge of the Owens family. Mr. Belvedere took on the job because in his own words," I've found someone worse than Wesley", referring to Brenda. The whole Bilinski family is a bunch of misfits, the temptation of straightening them out proved too hard for Mr. Belvedere to resist. In Small Wonder, Emily plays Harriet Brindle, Bonnie and Brandon's only child, a similarly pesky little kid who has a big crush on Jaime. Emily began her career with Small Wonder and moved on to other roles after the show closed. She appeared in Troop Beverly Hills and TV shows like Knight and Daye and Christy in 1994.
