A long time ago in a land far away
             D                                           E
There once was a country in which the people had no say
                                                               A
One day the people got together and said that it won't do

"We all need some rights and we're gonna get them too"

Sick and tired of the misery, the rebels start to fight.
Against their oppressors, they are fighting for their rights
Build up an offensive, the young boys all leave home
They're leaving home to die-put their souls on loan

They strike for the city, they strike for the hill
They strike for the capital - that old corruption mill
But the Army has been called in, they're comin from all sides
They ain't gonna leave 'til the rebels have all died

The revolution is getting vanquished, it's losing all support
The arms have all run out and no new ships are in the port
The peasants are all starving, they give up cause they're tired and weak
They give up their freedom, their reason to live for just a bite to eat

The rebels are surrounded, the Army closes in for the kill
The Rebellion has lost its cause, they also lost their wills
One by one they fall dead or lie dying in the swill
Rotting corpses in the battle of the bloody battlefield

The last rebel's in the middle of the battle, shots going by his head
He knows he still has to take the hill but all his friends are dead
He just had a birthday, he's now 13 years old
He kills, maims and takes lives, all the strategies of war

Then from up behind him there comes a single shot
The side of his head explodes- his blood spills out burning hot
Nine more rifles fire into him 'til finally he falls
There wasn't much of a body left- no remains at all

The Goverment's now in power they have complete control
The President and his puppeteers are playing the same old roles
The people live in the slums, their dreams are swept away
Until the time will come again when the rebels will have their say

Cause tomorrow is another day
