Community Fest
Words and Music by Brian Griffin (6-7-97)

Friday-
The sun is shining down
The air is filled with the sound
Of metal tent poles hitting the street
Cars and trucks stop-unload
The canvas city grows
The last weekend in June

This is where you will find me
No other place that I would be
This feeling is the best
Watching all the people walking past
Wish these moments would forever last
I've got a booth at the Comfest

Saturday-
The day started slow
But in time the crowd has grown
This is the spot to be
Everyone gathered in this place
You can see on every face
The joy of being alive and free

This is where you will find me
No other place that I will be
This feeling is the best
Sitting 'round hanging out
Makes me want to run and scream and shout
Having fun at the ComFest

Sunday-
Gathering for the Pride parade
People finally get the chance to say
This is really who I am
Or lie in the grass by the Main Stage
As darkness overcomes the day
Listening to Willie Pheonix play

This is where you'll will find me
No other place that I would be
This feeling is the best
I'll carry this with me all my life
Close to my heart 'til the day I die
Wrapped in love, peace, harmony
Hanging out at the ComFest
Watching the world go by at the ComFest
Memories of the ComFest
The last weekend in June
