Oh, sure, you can shop, and you can go watch sports, and you can maybe (just maybe) sneak in some time to see Jeff and Shelly get married, but what else are you going to do while here? Well, here are a few ideas....

Inside the Mall of America, 8100 24th Avenue South, Bloomington,
Minnesota
I know, it's happened to me. I want to go to an amusement park, but it's too cold/hot/rainy/muggy/snowy for an outside park. What to do, what to do. Well, you could go to Knott's Camp Snoopy, an amusement park located at the center of the Mall of America. There's more to Camp Snoopy than merry-go-rounds...there's a flume, a roller coaster, a mystery mine ride, and pretty much everything else you'd expect at an amusement park. And when you get bored, you can go shopping!

Highway 5 and Highway 55, Saint Paul, Minnesota
Open Saturdays 10 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays Noon to 5 PM, Historic Fort Snelling was the first major outpost in Minnesota Territory. Built in the 1820's, the fort is now an Historic site, with guided tours run by the Minnesota Historical Society. A lot of fun--and a very interesting experience!
Lexington Boulevard, Saint Paul, Minnesota
A beautiful park, featuring everything from a golf course to a beautiful lake. The centerpiece of the Saint Paul parks, Como is a beautiful place to while away an afternoon.
Excelsior Boulevard and Lake Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota
The largest of Minneapolis' many lakes (Minneapolis literally means "City of Water"), Lake Calhoun features jogging and walking paths, and is just a short drive from Uptown, a fun, eclectic shopping district. October is probably too late to go for a swim, but the lake is beautiful when the leaves are turning.
