Friends
Page Two
My freshman year in college was a particularly difficult one.  It was my first real time away from home.  I only knew two people who were going to Berry, both who went to my high school.  I was in a whole  new world.  Luckly, I was able to make some friends along the way.  This photograph was taken at a Chili's restaurant in Rome.  From left to right: Drew, Stephanie, Lyle, Emily, Gene, Sarah, James, Samuel, Katharine, Andrea, Gabe, and Warren front and center.  On any random day at Berry, you could probably find me with one of these people.  I still keep in touch with many in the photograph, but as can be expected, we all kind of went our ways after college.
On weekends, I loved to travel.  I would pack up and go visit friends in different towns and different colleges.  This photograph is of me hanging out with Kate and Zac at the State University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia.  Zac and I have been friends since grade school.  We also worked together for several summers at Prestige Shrub and Tree, out of Duluth, Georgia.  Zac and Kate are actually engaged and will be getting married in 2004.  Zac and I have had a lot of memories, from Spanish class and night time football in high school, to days on the job, to parties in college.  He is a really great friend.
This is my friend, Tommy Kraus.  I haven't seen him in years, but always considered him to be a great friend.  We used to play basketball together all the time it seemed.  I never knew what happened to the guy, but he was a great friend.  I'll always remember our basketball rivalries and our time in church league sports.  If you're out there Tommy and happen to come across this, let me know how you are!
This photograph was taken in Destin, Florida.  I am chillin' on the beach with Nathan and Amanda.  Amanda is engaged, and Nathan is still searching for that perfect girl.  We had a great beach trip.  I know Amanda from times in high school, and I have known Nathan basically all my life.  He probably has some good dirt on me.
John and Summer with Santa.  They are getting married this May, and I am very excited for them.  They are great friends.
Below is a photograph taken at Berry College back in 1999.  From left to right: Drew, James, Melissa, and her roommate.  After losing a bet with Melissa over who would get a higher test grade in class, I had to drive her blue van around campus while she got a hold of my truck for the weekend.  Here we are in the parking lot at Dana Hall.  Drew is married now - I was the best man in his wedding back in June of 2002, shortly after graduation.
This photograph was taken at my sister's high school graduation.  From left to right: Warren, Sam, James, and Michelle.  It wasn't at all uncommon to see Warren and Sam clowning around.  We were probably the craziest group of guys on campus.  Warren is engaged to Meredith and they are getting married later this year.
