Hilton Head, South Carolina

Hilton Head is located on the Atlantic Ocean coast, in the southern part of South Carolina.  Every spring, our youth group travels to Hilton Head to participate in the Georgia Christian Youth Convention.  Youth from all over the southeast come to participate in the event, and we are put up in the Crown Royal Palace... a very nice resort on the beach.  Compiled on this page are some photographs that were taken at past conventions.  I hope that you enjoy them.

We had a large number of our Youth Group attend the conference this past spring.  We stayed at the Crown Royal Palace, right on the Atlantic. (Ken, Matt, Mike, Nathan, Summer, James, Frances, Spencer, and Autumn) Our church goes to the conference every year, and it is held in late winter - early spring.  Too bad, we usually go a little too early to go into the ocean.  The water is just too cold!  However, James, Mike, Matt and Nathan still brave the 50 degree water.  Still, beach football is a lot of fun, even if you can't get wet.

Our group is back in the church van after our last session.  We're about to head back to Atlanta.  From left to right: Autumn, Mike, Summer, James, and Frances.  We had a lot of fun at GCYC this year.  We met a lot of people including Michelle, Jackie, and Allison from Canton, Georgia.  Michelle ended up going to Berry with me, so we were able to catch up on some old memories.

Here are some people that we met while we were in Hilton Head at GCYC.  From left to right: Jackie, Mike, Matt, James, Allison, and Michelle is in front.  We met them on our first night in Hilton Head at the Fuddruckers.  We all hung out together most of the weekend.  Our last morning in South Carolina, we all got up and walked on the beach before saying goodbye and heading back home.  It was a great trip and we all learned a lot.  I wish we could do it again sometime.
