Duluth High School Senior Prom (1998)
Prom was very interesting this year.  The year before I had taken my girlfriend, as to be expected.  This year, I had a little different kind of date.  It all started at a restaurant that our gang frequented in February 1998.  I asked our waitress, Cynthia to be my prom date.  I had known her for a few months prior to asking.  She accepted.  Then about three weeks before prom, I met Christy.  She went to West Hall high school.  At the last minute I decided I wanted to go with Christy, instead of Cynthia.  I had a good prom.  This is a photograph of my friend Matt, then Christy and myself.  This is a few hours before the 'festivities' began.  Matt went with my friend Jessica, who went to school with me.  Matt went to West Hall high school, like Christy - thus the connection.
This is the group that Christy and I joined.  From left to right: Jordan, Sarah, James, Christy, Scot, and for the life of me I can't remember Scot's date's name.  She may have been named Sarah too.  Anyways, this photograph was taken in Jordan's backyard in Berkeley Lake, Georgia.  We all decided to meet up there, then take the limosine to dinner in Atlanta, and then to our prom at Turner Field (home of the Atlanta Braves) afterwards.
This is our limosine.  We called "An Affair To Remember" to book the ride.  If you ever need a limo, never call them.  This guy showed up nearly an hour and a half late.  We ended up being late to our dinner at the Sun Dial at the Westin Hotel in Atlanta, and then only got to actually go to our prom for a little over an hour, missing the senior walk and everything.  I was pretty mad about the whole thing.  Here's the gang.
What's the point in riding in a limo if you can't stick your head out the top?  He was late, so we decided we could do whatever we wanted.  Here you see me, Scot, and Jordan trying to fit through the narrow sun roof.  Jordan's having a rough time making it.  We did this once we were in downtown Atlanta, and were swiftly dealt with by the Atlanta Police Department, who quickly ordered us back into the vehicle.  Still, it was fun.  It's one of the rare times I have ever ridden in a limo.
