Have you ever read any of those classic Choose Your Own Adventure books?

If so, prepare for a blast from the past! This site is home to an intriguing and interactive story, also known as a Choose Your Own Adventure. What does that mean? Well, for starters, you the reader are in complete control of the flow of the story. You assume the role of the main character on your never ending search for the land of milk and honey: Funkyland.

This story began as a series of posts on a weblog community called Xanga.com. The premise was to recreate the nuances of the old Choose Your Own Adventure books with a new twist: the readers could post messages describing EXACTLY how they wanted to advance the story. And based on those suggestions, I composed the story one chapter at a time. This website is the realization of those posts.

Chapter one, which consists of the first thirty pages, is posted in full on this site. As a bonus, I've completed the pages that lead to paths aside from the main story line.
