The Process of Making Children's Blocks- the DHJJ style
Quick background: Our road to making blocks was a long twisting path. Originally, Janet and Joshua were going to work with Michael to make a plane. However, on more careful though, they felt that they would not be able to do enough work on the project to make them happy so they decided to make a fan using an old Capsella kit that Joshua had lying around the house. Then Hannah asked the two if they wanted to help her make a doll house to give to North Central Bronx Hospital in the Bronx. Being the charitable and giving people that Janet and Joshua undoubtedly are they agreed to help with the project.

However, upon calling the hospital they found out that their idea for a doll house was not a good one. North Central Bronx Hospital deals primarily with toddlers, and unfortunately, the small parts of the doll house would be a choking hazard. After a few days of floundering, the three decided to partner with Desiree to make a project that would inspire many. Through their hard and somewhat tangled efforts, with four strong-willed people, all wanting to be expressed, they came out with a product that would make Froebel proud... we hope.
