What is EWCO?
We thank you for your interest in our institution. EWCO stands for Eli Whitney College Online. The Eli Whitney College is not currently seeking accreditation, though our strength of program is well-known throughout the academic world, as such, many schools will accept the EWCO credit, even though we are not recognized by any US Department Bureau. See Rushmore University (not approved by us) on the process of self-accreditation.  EWCO has been open since June 2003 and has been available for the public to take classes since July 2003.  This as well as all of Mr. Health Nut Company's products are rendered free of charge. Learn more about our program with our free college bulletin.

What does EWCO offer? EWCO and its sole staff member Mr. Abstain offer free college level classes, (see the bulletin). The Spring 2006 class is now listed, see "Dates" below.  We also offer a certificate program for continuing studies, for more info, check out our bulletin.  All classes are at the "introductory" level and are thusly numbered in the 100's.

What does it cost me? EWCO, like all of Mr. Health Nut Company's services, is rendered free of charge, however a connection to the internet and self-directed work ethic are a must.

How can I sign up? E-mail us your (first) name and Xanga site. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and you will be notified of your acceptance at least five days before the beginning of the class, assuming your application was sent in on time.  If more information is needed from you, we will send you an e-mail within four days of processing your application.

Your application must be recieved by the stated deadlines.  We typically offer one class per term and entrance is non-competitive but on a rolling first come, first serve basis.  Your xanga site is simply used as a distinguishing feature, like your Social Security Number except less sensitive.  If you do not have a xanga site you can sign up for one free of charge at
www.xanga.com/.

What are the benefits of taking this course? Learning new skills and free non-matriculated, credit from Eli Whitney College.  The course is "asynchronous" meaning you can log on at any time to send us your homework answers.  Good reading skills, college-level writing and access to the Internet are required to be part of the program.  If your internet stops working or your computer breaks down it is your responsibility to have a viable back up plan.

By whom is it taught? Mr. Abstain the current professor for our classes is in the middle of his studies at Binghamton University, State University of New York.

What if I have Questions or need to contact the professor? You may e-mail the college at mrhealthnutcoceo@yahoo.com if you have any questions, we can also forward mail to the professor before your class begins.  Once class begins, your syllabus will list the e-mail address of your professor.

Where is the class held?
E-mails directing students where to go will be sent out before the first day of class.  Connection to the internet is a neccessary part of the program.

How do I get transcripts? See the bulletin for more information on transcripts.
