Restoration and Redemption 12/23/05

He takes me up in His arms

Drawing me to His large, powerful, soft chest

Holding me in to Himself, into His love.

These moments are painful knowing of my unfaithfulness

I’ve denied Him and turned to the Enemy

Who always hurt me

He has always ripped me off and left me for dead.

He always left me empty and broken.

The contrasting grace and love leaves me disciplined

But safe. He is repairing the brokenness and restoring the loss.

His redemption was full and for a lifetime.

Those smaller desires that fled at its fulfillment

Have become longings for true love and fulfillment

From God. Fullness and redemption that endows life

And Freedom from sin’s traps and subsequent pain –

Freedom to live full and alive.

LORD GOD, here is my life: I need fixing.

Your grace is sufficient for me and my sin.

I don’t deserve it, but I need it.

You have proved faithful over and over again.

I need the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ.

LORD GOD, I need Your restoration.

Clean up the mess I’ve made of my life; make me whole again.

Father, I ask you to bring me back into this deep relationship

Among You, Your Son, and the Holy Spirit dwelling within me.

Thank you for your forgiveness! I repent! This old way is empty.

Remind me time and time again when sudden desires arise.

Remind me of sin’s consequences and this pain.

Put my life back together my GOD.
