Combustion chamber
Combustion chamber dimensions are: lenght 720mm, internal diameter 132mm,
external diameter 160mm. Maximum operating pressure (hydraulic non-destructive
test) up to 70 bar.
The standard configuration consists of a pre-chamber (made of insulating material), the grain (lenght 500mm), then a post-camera and finally the nozzle
(conical in the first tests).
Chamber bearing is obtained with four C70-steel plates with estensimeters for thrust measurement. Two pressure transducers are used for inner pressure recording and up to six thermocouples are sticked on the external wall of the chamber for temperature monitoring.
