G'day Marcia. I have only just seen your fax now -- it has been
frantically
busy here this week!

Sure. How about this:

Marcia Pinheiro approached me about a paper she was writing on the
Sorites
paradox. She was clearly very competent at the technical aspects of her
work,
but was unsure about how to go about producing a publishable paper
based on
it. We had several meetings about this paper, which involved numerous
discussions about presenting ideas and writing style. It is very
pleasing to
see this paper published recently in Semiotica.

Marcia impressed me with her intellectual energy, determination to
succeed and
her enthusiasm for her subject. Marcia was always respectful, punctual
and
attentive to detail, and I am sure she will succeed in whatever area
she works.

Cheers,
	James.
