Preheat oven to 3500 degrees.
Mix margarine and sugar. Mix in flour (using hands if necessary). If
dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened. Roll
dough about 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into small squares,
rectangles, diamonds, or triangle shapes. Place about 1/2 inch apart on ungreased
cookie sheet. Bake until set but now brown, about 20 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet, cool completely. Store in tightly covered container no longer than 4 days. Makes about 2 dozen 1-1/2 x 1 inch cookies.
