Mrs. Weeks is very interested in computers and enjoys working with others to make them more comfortable with using computers. She has taught the computer skills curriculum since its inception, and she taught computers as an elective as well. She enjoys playing with programs more than hardware. She reads for pleasure when she has the time. She enjoys books by Mary Higgins Clark and Francine Rivers. She likes Nicholas Sparks and Richard Paul Evans. Jodi Picoult and Lisa Gardner are recent favorites. She likes watching movies. Her favorites include action films such as "Face/Off," "The Fugitive," "The Hunt for Red October" and the "Indiana Jones" movies. She also enjoys romantic comedies like "Moonstruck" and "Innerspace." She isn't likely to know recent or current box office hits. Mrs. Weeks likes the mountains of North Carolina and the Blue Ridge Parkway. She loves lighthouses, but the beach is not her favorite place. Her best vacations ever were five cruises in the Caribbean and two to Alaska. Mrs. Weeks has no children, but she has been married for 15 years. She is a dedicated teacher who has high expectations of her students. Her personal goal is to make certain that every child who leaves her classroom has a new sense of confidence in himself or herself as a reader and as a student. |
