PROCEDURE:
Mass out 1.5g of Polyethyelene Oxide and place in a 400ml beaker.
Measure out 10ml of the alcohol Propanol and pour into the 400ml beaker.
Swirl the mixture.
When instructed pour 175ml of distilled water into the 400ml beaker.
Stir the mixture with a stirring rod.
Place 3 drops of food dye in the mucus simulation.
Place a drop of the material on your thumb. Describe what it feels like.
