Problem: How is oxygen gas prepared in the lab and what test is used to determine if an unknow gas is oxygen? Procedure: 1. Measure out 10 mL of hydrogen peroxide 3%. 2. Pour this hydrogen peroxide into a large test tube. 3. Place a pinch of manganese dioxide into the test tube. 4. Light a wooden splint on fire. 5. Blow out the wooden splint 6. Place the glowing ember inside the test tube. Picture: Draw a picture of your lab set up. Label all parts. Chemical Reaction: 2H2O2 -----> 2H2O + O2 hydrogen peroxide -----> water + oxygen Information: 1. H2O2 is an antiseptic. 2.
